Spit as a lubricant?

So obviously when giving head to a guy, spit is great. However I am one of the girls who have trouble cuming (when I say have trouble I mean haven’t been able to do so through penetration or orally; only with vibrator) and also have problems staying wet during sex. I am curious to know if anyone and their significant other uses spit as lubricant? At this point we do it so frequently but I’m wondering if there is any negative impacts it can have on the balance of my vagina?
