Letrozole/femara effects?

Question

I'm on day 4 of 5 in my first round of letrozole- just wondering if it makes you ovulate earlier than normal and if it effects CM at all?  I have been getting very clear fertile CM the last few months and I wonder if it will throw it off?  I will star OPKs the morning after I'm done with the pills to be sure I don't miss ovulation just curious what other people have found?  Success stories? Would love to hear them :)

Hi Ladies! I was just officially diagnosed with PCOS yesterday (after doctors ignored my ultrasound from last August 😡) and will be starting letrozole my next cycle! I also typically have a lot of cm and it changes around time when I should be fertile. My question is more about OPK's though, I never use them because they always show as close to positive. Will the meds make it so that I can actual use them accurately? Just wanting to be sure I have some if that's the case. Thanks!

Letrozole should improve your CM. I am on it as I have very dry cycles and it has helped me have more mucus. For me it did sometimes make me ovulate a couple days earlier than normal. I just pay close attention to my mucus so I make sure I don't miss ovulation. Good luck!
