This actually saddens me

I had to do cursive handwriting when I was in elementary and I wasn’t taught very good so when I had to write/read things in cursive when I got to middle school I cried in class and at home because I couldn’t write/read it and my teacher made me feel stupid for not being able to

yes I could’ve taught myself and worked with myself to get better but I didn’t and I could still do that now but it’s still stupid that I didn’t get taught better by my teachers like they didn’t care enough about it or whatever

I can only write my name in cursive and it really sucks because I’m sure I’ll need it when I’m older (I’m 17) for many things

And now they’re not teaching it at all? Or telling kids to not write in cursive? Seriously? What does them writing their name in cursive do to you? I’m sure a lot (if not all)(all of my teachers now and from middle school know how to write/read it) of the teachers know how to read it so why not let them write their name how they want to
