Am I the only one who isn't so much afraid of the birth itself but getting the epidural??

This may sound sooo stupid but I'm mostly afraid of getting the epidural than the actual birth!! Does anyone else feel the same??

You don't have to get an epidural or be induced. I didn't do either with my first birth. Just waited on my body to naturally go into labor. Didn't even give birth at the hospital.

I'm having a c section. The spinal is the only thing giving me anxiety. One of the few things I remember about the first one was the anesthesiologist hitting bone and then calling for a longer needle. Not pleasant at all.

The epidural used to be my biggest fear but I’ve read so many stories on how it’s not as bad as I think . My biggest fear now is the after -care . Stitches in my hoo-haw doesn’t sound appealing at all . Lol

I literally did not feel the epidural go in it all, it was fantastic. I had a pain free labour and birth.

I was the same, I'm fine with shots and blood draws but when it came to the epidurals huge ass needle I was terrified. however when I actually got the epidural I was more focused on the overwhelming pain from the contractions that were basically on top of one another. I never felt a thing from the stick or the needle and the person that did it was very sweet and kept talking to me to keep my mind further off of it. 
If you feel too afraid you can always say no to it. good luck!

You get a numbing injection first so it’s nbd, what Im scared of is tearing my vajayjay and having stitches 😖 I’m so scared of that!

I am. Just thinking about a needle getting out it and a five sticking out gives me the sceaves but my aunt was a delivery nurse and had 3 kids all with the epidural and you barely feel it go in. She said the worst part is the needle it feels like a burning pinch for like 3 seconds and that's it so I'm taking her word for it cuz I know I can't go through labor without drugs lol
