baby dropped?!

so I'm 32 week and 5 days was having a lot of contractions but I figured it was braxton hicks. well they kept coming then leave and could be really painful at times but still irregular. I also noticed my high bumb was lower and I felt the baby was lower. luckly I had an appointment today Dr. said she did drop was head down at the cervix and I was dilated 1 cm but I hadn't started thinning. My question is could she come early?
