Is it normal for my partner to not care about me feeling baby kick for the first time?

So I felt baby kick for the first time last night and when I told my partner he said "I don't know what you want me to say, I can't feel it." He isn't excited, or bothered. Nothing. I'm pretty upset because I'm having a horrendous pregnancy and suffering from bad pre-natal depression (I have bipolar so it's been emotional to say the least), so this is the first time I've really felt positive and connected to the baby at all and I'm really excited about it. Is his reaction normal?

Men often do not feel connected with the baby until they arrive and they can physically connect with them; hold them.. see them, hear them, etc. 
A lot of times “it doesn’t seem real to them” until baby has been born. We can feel baby moving, hiccuping.. etc. and we often feel connected as soon as we see that “positive” or “+” on a pregnancy test!
Try not to get upset over it, but do communicate your feelings to your partner.
And if you are feeling depressed or any sort of anxiety you should talk to your dr, they are there to help!

My hubby thought it was cool that I could feel it, but he wasn’t really excited about it until he felt it for himself. Now that’s all he wants to do lol

He has no connection with the baby like you. Just wait until he can feel the baby move. My husband would put his hand on my stomach and feel her move around slightly then one time she kicked really hard and it freaked him out around 25 Weeks. We’re 36 Weeks and he still won’t touch my stomach for too long because he can’t forget it hahaha. Once the baby is here they create their bond

My husband occasional likes to feel the baby kick but it isn’t any every day or even every week kind of thing. I’m not upset about it cause like others have said men don’t have that same connection as women do. They don’t feel it constantly and know what it’s like so it’s foreign to them. Hell I don’t have that rainbows and butterflies connections with my baby yet that a lot of women on here have. Does that make me a bad mother? No, it just means it’s gonna take some time but once baby is here I’ll more than likely be head over heals for him and so will hubby. I don’t think it’s anything to get to worked up about.

I wouldn’t be too bothered, sad to say, but men will be men. Loads of them don’t really care too much until they see the actual baby outside the womb, as mentioned earlier.
