does anyone have tips for getting a one year old to drink whole milk?

we stopped formula cold turkey at 12 months and my son refuses whole milk. We have tried warming it up, we have tried putting it in a bottle, we have tried giving it in different sippy cups that he has been introduced to since 6 months old. All he does is throw the cup or the bottle when we give it to him. he has had a sippy cup with water since 6 months old and has now started throwing that as well and refusing to drink that also. My biggest concern right now is just getting him the liquid intake that he needs in a day because he pretty much refuses all liquids. I don't know if this is just a stage he is going through or what but I would like to figure out how to get him to drink whole milk. we have also tried mixing it with formula and that does not work either.

The biggest issue here is that you quit formula cold turkey. When you introduce new drinks or food, you need to take your time. Just try every few days to see if he will take it and if he won't, that's okay. You could also try a little bit of chocolate or strawberry syrup.

I once read that the transition can take a while and it’s good to slowly adjust the ratio:
Week 1: 3/4 formula 1/4 milk
Week 2: 1/2 each
Week 3: 1/4 formula 3/4 milk
I know you said you tried mixing it but might be worth a shot!
My little one likes to throw the sippy overboard when she is done too. So I sit with her and keep a hand on it.

We stopped formula after trying to introduce a milk product. It helps determine what they prefer and makes it easier to transition to the milk completely. We landed on sugar free vanilla almond milk. My son wouldn’t take whole or 2% but the flavor was helpful with the almond milk and his pediatrician said it was just as beneficial for him.

Like others suggested we did the slow transition. I also add a bit of vanilla almond milk to his whole milk to make it a little sweeter for him. He’s not much of a milk drinker, he greatly prefers water even at 19 months, so I also give him cheese and whole milk yogurt.
