Please help..

sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot, wasnt sure where to post ..this is on the bottom of my 9 year old's toe.. He says it hurts sometimes but not too bad. I am taking him to the Dr on Monday just wondering if anyone's seen this before and knows what it is and how to treat it..

from what I've gathered online it seems like it could be a plantar wart... every time I hear or see the word wart I get a little freaked out as I know they spread .. is that what this is ? If so has anyone had success with home remedies ?
