Yeast infection

I got a yeast infection from using scented tampons (BAD IDEA!) and it’s only been around for about 3 days . So it’s not very developed and I took 1 day yeast infection medicine today. Is it okay to have sex with my boyfriend tomorrow?? I really really want to it’s been about. A week since we’ve had sex and we both need another round soon . Is it safe? He said he’s fine with it
