Would you wake an 11 week old baby for a feed?

I've heard conflicting advice from friends, family and health professionals.

Never at any point did i wake my kid to feed. By 5 weeks he was sleeping 12 hours at night and has ever since. He’s almost 7 months old and happy and healthy

Doctors recommend it but it’s a habit you don’t want to start. If the baby is sleeping through the night let it be. Once the baby is hungry, he or she will wake up on their own :) Enjoy the sleep momma!

Depends! My daughter was sleep 5 hours at 1 weeks old and they told me to wake her in the night for a feed and I said no because shed got a good night time routine and I wasn’t going to disturb her! But if I’d stayed up and she was about due to wake up I’d wake her and feed her rather than her waking up 15 mins after I’ve dropped off to sleep. So it depends why you want to wake them. But either way it’s up to you! They’ll wake up when they’re hungry! And as long as theyre gaining weight okay!

The pediatrician should be able to tell you if they are ready. Once mine gained birth weight back and kept a steady track he told me to let them sleep. this was around 6-8 weeks old

I never wake my bubs for a feed. She is 11 weeks (12 on Saturday) and I only ever feed on demand. She has been sleeping through the night since approx 7 weeks which is amazing. I don't go to sleep till about midnight, but I start trying to get her settled and sleeping around 8, so no playing, less talking, lots of cuddles and a bottle and a bum change, she's usually asleep by half 10, then at half 11 I will not wake her up, but change her bum and give her a bottle without fully waking  her, she's  near enough asleep lol. After this we both go to bed (her in her crib in my room) in the dark with rain sounds on and she sleeps right through. Earliest she wakes is 6, latest she wakes is 9 and then she demolishes a 5oz bottle. I do this helps :)

I’ve never woken my daughter to eat 🤷🏻‍♀️ by 11 weeks old, she had been sleeping 12 hours straight for 6 weeks at that point.
