Recommended Birth control?

I just had a baby and am 6 weeks postpartum. I’m trying to figure out the best type of birth control to take. My doctor is recommending Mirena IUD. I’ve only used the pill before. Any one know anything about this or know anything on other types? Taking any and all recommendations and opinions into consideration thank you! :)

I was on paraduard IUD non hormonal for 8 years. No issues at all.

I’ve also only done pill but just got my iud Thursday and so far so good. If you do get it take ibuprofen before hand.

The IUD is a good choice if you are done with children or aren’t planning on having another one for a few years.

Following. I started Lo Loestrin (pill) after my first PP period and I've had breakthrough bleeding for a week straight now. I've never experienced this on a BC pill before.
