Perhaps the better question would be “Are you able to make peace with using deadly force to defend yourself or another in the case of an assault?”

Are you willing to do it if it was absolutely necessary?

I am not pushing for people to use deadly force right off the bat. More or less I’m asking if you’re willing to if the situation calls for it. If it’s a “me or them” scenario.

I’m specifically thinking of things like sexual assault or being mugged.

The only reason such things are on my mind is that a family member that was convicted of sexual assault of a minor is trying to get back into contact with me and it’s got me anxious. They live no where near me, but still... 😰

If had to, I would defend with any means necessary if it meant sparing my child that kind of assault that happened to me as a child.
