is this normal??

so i bought a menstrual cup today and i've heard it takes a few times to get the hang of it.. and i knew my period would be coming in a few days so i tried it out today. lucky for me, it was a breeze! though i noticed when i removed the cup there was lots of white discharge all around it, is it normal to have lots of discharge up there? btw, i never really see much discharge in my underwear if that matters
