Age - should we worry?

Question

My husband and I are older 43 and 33 (me) respectively and I’m starting to worry that we’re too old to be starting a family. 
Any older first time parents out there???  What has been your experience starting a family late in life?

I was 31 when I had my first child.Ill be 34 in June and want one more and I’m trying this year to have another one.I know two woman who had children when they were 40.As long as your healthy and you have the ok from your doctor,I say go for it.I was never in a serious relationship in my 20’s but I did get to enjoy those years.I honestly don’t mind being an “older” mother. I feel like if I chose not to have children in my 30’s, then “ I would have missed out completely on this amazing journey. Go with what your heart wants!

Omg same!! I'm 33 and my SO is 43! We've been TTC #1 for about 9 months now. I worry about this sometimes too, but at the same time I'm happy we waited because we're more financially stable and just bought a new home to grow into. People are starting families later these days! Baby dust to you 😊

I just had my first at 32 and am pregnant again at 34. My husband is the same age, and while I know it does get trickier for some, we got pregnant really fast both times.
Personally I think there are a lot of benefits to being older. We are settled in our relationship and make more money than we did in our 20s. All our friends have kids or are trying, so we're not being pressured to go party with people who don't understand and want to stay out late. Yeah, my back hurts a lot and I'm tired, but I wouldn't change a thing.

I’m 35! I have 2 boys already from a previous relationship. I am preparing to plan for my first with my boyfriend. Having a child in your mid 30s is super normal now! No reason to worry! And if it seems to be taking a long time to conceive you can always get checked out! No big deal!

You’re 33. Most women aren’t even thinking about it until 35. Your husbands age is pretty irrelevant in terms of conception.

I had my first at 33 and now 34 and trying for number 2. Even with my first it took a little longer to conceive (7 months) but now it’s taking even longer. We are on month 10. We are seeing a specialist in 2 months just to see if there is anything else that can help us. I know I will have my second child someday!
