When do your nipples change?

Question

As in become more erect or protrude more? 
My nipples are pretty flat and I’m worried I will have problems breastfeeding. 
Only 14 weeks but hoping they will change throughout pregnancy.

I have relatively flat nipples and they never protruded more through pregnancies. I’ve been told it can happen, but it’s not likely. There are things you can do to help bring your nipples out more for breastfeeding. I had issues breastfeeding my daughter with my flat nipples, she was too lazy to try and bring the nipple out. So we used a nipple shield. A lot of babies have no issues latching on flat nipples so don’t get too discouraged! 
This time around, I’ve already bought some nipple shields, just in case. I also purchased the Lansinoh Latch Assist (on Amazon) to help bring my nipple out right before nursing sessions. And I also bought the Avent Nipplette, which you can wear for a couple hours each day to “permanently” pull your nipple out, (also on Amazon), as recommended by quite a few blogs and YouTube videos! So I’d recommend looking into those things. Also, research breastfeeding with flat nipples. You can find some advice on how to prepare and breastfeed. Again, don’t get discouraged. Babies BREASTfeed not nipplefeed. So nipple shapes/sizes aren’t always an issue for most babies. I know plenty of moms with flat nipples who never ran into the issues I did (my daughter just didn’t want to work for it).

I'm 32 weeks and my nipples are still pretty flat,although with a little touch they soon pop out! 
I know there are things you can use to help keep your nipples outwards. Youllbe able to breastfeed no problem

At 14 weeks your breasts are just now starting to prepare to make milk!
I wouldn’t worry though even if when the day comes they’re still kinda flat. Mine were and nipple shields solved that problem!
Your hospital can provide them, but you can get some yourself too. They’re not too expensive, you can find them on amazon made by trusted brands like medela (sp?). They even help with some of the pain in the beginning and can be used with nipple protectants/creams.

My nipples (well only one of them) was flat until I I gave birth. It took my son a few days to be able to easily latch on the nipple but he did it! You will just have to kind of pinch it and help get it to his mouth at first. Now that he’s feeding it stays out most of the time.
