Cheating??

So: my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 and a half years. Recently, though, I have been reconnecting with a friend from my freshman year of college (I'm a senior now) who I've got a bit of history with. We've been snapchatting, no pictures, for a few weeks now and I find myself enjoying it. I like the excitement of talking to someone new. I feel SO guilty though. Am I cheating on my boyfriend because I am enjoying talking to someone? I feel super flirty but I just can't stop it. Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

Are you hiding it from your boyfriend? Also, what would your reaction be if it were the other way around? 
I think it's important to communicate with each other to establish what you guys agree to what crossing the line is. To some couples this would definitely be cheating while others see no issue. The biggest concern of yours should be how you feel "flirty" with him and that you guys have history together already. That can affect the way your boyfriend sees it..

Be friendly, but not flirty... if you’re enjoying the flirting and excitement of another man then you shouldn’t have a boyfriend! If he was doing that with some other woman, I can only imagine the sorts of questions and arguments that would occur.

As long as you just talk to him like a friend and don’t take romantic interest, I don’t see why you should feel stressed or guilty. You can have friends that are male, too 💁🏻‍♀️.

I don’t think it’s cheating. Unless you wouldn’t let your boyfriend see what you guys are talking about, then that’s emotionally cheating. I might get some back lash on this, but just because you’re in a relationship doesn’t mean attraction goes away. As long as you’re not hiding anything from your bf, and not talking/doing things you wouldn’t want him to do i think you’re fine. It can be exciting and fun to have someone else to talk to, but it can also turn into and emotional affair really quick, so just be careful, don’t cross any boundaries you would want your bf to cross, and be honest.
