38.1 getting induced due to GD. Baby is considered in an unstable lie. he has been transverse oblique cephalic all in one day. they have said they will give me an iv to relax my uterus and attempt an ECV to turn baby head down and break my waters... if he does turn though the wrong way after waters are gone this is considered an emergency due to risk of cord prolapse or shoulder .. and will require an emergency c section. I have 4 kids already and history of very fast easy labours. I'm not keen on a c section but I'm worried.. what would u do

Turning your baby also has risks, I would advise you to look into it. Transverse / breach baby’s are common in my family (I was also a transverse baby) and did my research in the beginning of my first pregnancy. My own conclusion was that I wouldn’t do that. I felt more comfortable having a c-section then my baby having possible risks by turning. In the end you should do what you feel more comfortable with. For some people it works and they can have their vaginal birth. Luckily my daughter turned head down at the end of pregnancy so I felt lucky. Good luck to you! I would never opt for a c section because they are PAINFULLY especially with older children to care for. I had an emergency section and wow.... Personally if I as in your position I would attempt a Trial of Labour, and just ensure your hospital has a surgeon on duty when you are scheduled for you induction just incase. Many babies turn with the contractions.  This is what I would do personally of course you know what is best for you and your child
