He’s turning 55. Im sick of getting him the standard clothes, cologne, wallet, ties. He’s hard to shop for because he always says he doesn’t want anything.🙄 I’m 20 so no childish ideas please.

Instead of materialistic things what about something more eventful? Is there a museum he's been wanting to visit? A band or sports team he's been wanting to see? An activity he's been wanting to do? Something fun and memorable! For example, I know my boyfriend has been wanting to go to Alcatraz for years so I'm surprising him with tickets for his birthday along with reservations at this restaurant we both have been wanting to go to.

If he's still working, how about a work appropriate gift? So my dad likes doing handy stuff around the home so I got him a really cool multitool once, and another time I got him a cool desk ornament. I have so gotten him simple 'worlds best dad' things (not the usual mug though).
