Is it bad/disrespectful not to want the father in the delivery room?

I want him out of my life and the stress from him is causing issues with the pregnancy. I want people who will calm me down in the delivery room and he does the opposite, but it’s his baby...

I understand it’s his baby but having a healthy safe delivery is more important than him being in there. If he isn’t taking the right steps to ensure you and baby are okay before delivery then I think he leaves you no choice.

Totally fine to not invite him into the delivery room. Labor and delivery is more about you anyway. You should invite him in as soon as the staff is done cleaning you up though.

If he's been involved and supportive of the pregnancy, even if he was a crappy partner, I would say he should be there. But from what you're describing, that doesn't sound like the case. If having him there is going to be a source of stress, he can wait in the waiting room and meet baby afterwards. You should have someone supportive with you.

You definitely should only have people that will help you be comfortable in the delivery room. He should be allowed to meet his child though, invite him to the hospital after you and baby get settled.
