am I overreacting? help!

My first baby, so I know I'm a little extra lol. My boyfriend always goes to this festival with this same group of guys, it's tradition. It is a week after my due date. Keeping in mind, I could always be late, a due date is not exact! Maybe it's just my pregnancy hormones but I am super annoyed. see our texts below:

What would you even respond to that?  I  DON'T CARE that it's only an hour away! We live a good 15 min from the hospital anyway. What if he got a flat tire for God's sake? I swear in the name of everything that is holy,  if he is not there for the birth of both of our first babies, because of a choice like going to an EFFIN CHEESEBURGER FESTIVAL, I would NEVER forgive him.

It would be extremely rare that you would go into labor and he wouldn’t be able to make the delivery if he were an hour away. It’s also unlikely that you’ll go a week over. He would probably be fine to plan on going to the cheeseburger festival. Don’t have a huge fight based on all these what-ifs. Just deal with the issue closer to time if you haven’t had the baby.

He's definitely being stupid lol. Sorry but that's messed up. My husband would never travel while I'm pregnant. He's being selfish. Anything can happen.

Yeah, I’m with you on that...I’m all for continuing life trough pregnancy as much as possible, that timing is totally not ok. If you have the baby already, that would be miserable to be left alone. If you haven’t, it could happen at any point.

If the baby is born I think it would be fine. If the baby isn’t here yet OR if you’re in labor, I would say absolutely not. Too risky. You’ll need his support and he should understand that! I would be mad too!!

Just say "ok let's see what happens" and if you don't have the baby yet and clearly you're about to go into labor, he obviously can't go unless you have a friend stay home with you who can drive you if you do go into labor, and that phone of his better be set on loud and checked frequently lol and obviously no alcohol in case he needs to drive to the hospital.

Nah he’s being stupid, may only be an hr away but you could go into labor at any time and could happen very quickly. Also even if you have baby before the trip I wouldn’t want him to go. Those first few weeks are so crazy and exhausting and you need all the help you can get. My husband spent the first couple days home with me and our son, then worked half days. We took turns so we could both get rest and few refreshed. 
And even with all his help I still had my friends and in laws over to help.
I would honestly just put my foot down, it’s to close to baby time.

I would be pissed... I know my boyfriend would want to be there for every little thing, so should your SO. He would rather go to a festival with his buddies than experience the birth of his child, he can miss one year of it.
