Monistat

So I was very prone to yeast infections when I was pregnant with my son and its happening again this time around. I called my doctors office and got the clear to use Monistat... I got the 3 day one and today is day 3 and I seem to be getting some relief...but holy HELL FIRE that stuff burns. I had to psych myself up to use it 2 more times after the first round. It literally burns SO badly I thought for sure I was allergic or something, but after doing some research it seems a lot of women have had this issue. Anyone else tried Monistat and had an awful, painful burning? I feel like it wasn't like this when I used it in the past and wonder if they're altered their formula.
