For those TTC, how many of y’all are just dating and not married? What is your opinion on being TTC but not married? In my opinion, I find it strange that you would want to have a child with someone that you are not fully committed to? Just me though!

When the divorce rate sits at 50% I say who is anyone to judge! Most divorced couples have kids too so clearly being married doesn’t make a whole lot of difference to the 50% who wanted out. 💁🏻‍♀️

I'm not married, I got 1 gorgeous little girl and angel twins, just because I'm not married to their dad doesn't mean I'm not committed to him? Who's to say marriage lasts anyway. Loads of people are getting divorced these days.

I value marriage and agreee. People have given up on it these days and I don’t understand why. Being married is such an important step in a relationship and there are things that you should save for your husband... like making babies! But I love those that don’t do it my way and I have many friends that won’t marry or have to move in with someone before they’ll consider it. My husband I just preferred that traditional way of things. We don’t lie to each other, we are humble, we are committed, divorce isn’t an option, and we don’t sweat the small stuff. We also decided that we would rather have financial freedom instead of things!

You can be fully committed to someone without being married. My best friends were together for 20 years before they finally tied the knot. I feel like that's pretty committed. If it's not, I'm not sure what is.

I feel that this is something that should be decided between the couple & for absolutely no one else to decide or judge. Marriage in my opinion used to be something of value, of importance and commitment. People have mentioned how high the divorce rate is, so of course the old ways of marriage are now completely tarnished. Not to mention how ridiculous the US is with its celebrity drama & constant marriages/divorces/scandals. Not everyone is meant to be monogamous, & not everyone is meant for more than one person. Personally, I’m married but it causes more hardship than not. It’s nothing but a legal piece of paper that binds you to another human in every single way. Because I’m married, I get MUCH less help with college, no benefits at all nor qualify for absolutely any assistance there ever could be (despite us still living check to check busting our asses), our tax returns are lower because we’re married, etc. If you love someone, you can most certainly commit to them without being married. Many people even get rings to symbolize their commitment without ever making it technically ‘legal’. 🤔 🤷🏻‍♀️
