Baby eating every 5 or 6 hours and sleeping through the night ?

Question

This mom that I know said her baby eats every 5-6 hours and sleeps through the night at only 4 months old . Does this seem right ? My baby is 4 months old and eats every 3 hours during the day and he does sleep through the night .
Added: I’m not asking about the sleeping through the night . My baby sleeps through the night as well. I’m asking about eating every 5-6 hours . My pediatrician told me that my baby needs to be eating every 3 hours and he drinks 6 oz at every feeding .

At 4 months old, my baby was sleeping 8-12 hour stretches at night and eating every  3-4 hours in the day. Listen to your pediatrician and do what works for you. Every baby is different

They can start sleeping through the night at 5 Months is what I was told. My baby eats anywhere from 3oz to 5oz in one sitting depending on how hungry she is. We had to wake her up yesterday after it had been 4 hours though

My daughter was sleeping 12 hours straight at 5 weeks old. 4 months is more than old enough to be sleeping through the night. And my daughter eats every 3-4 hours but they’re smaller bottles. If they were larger she’d go longer in between. But every baby is different. No need to compare your baby to hers. It’s highly unlikely they’ll be doing the same things at the same time or in the same way.

Every baby is different. My 2 boys nursed frequently and needed at least one night feeding until 7 months. My daughter nursed every 4 hours and slept through the night at 4 months. Also sometimes formula fed babies last longer than breastfed babies. As long as baby is growing properly it's okay.

My daughter was a good sleeper too and would go 4-6 hours. You don’t have to wake up baby to feed them if they are hitting the weight requirements.  My daughter was always in the 90th percentile so she was just fine going a few hours.
