Where I live there was recently a Facebook post from a parent complaining that a restaurant was refusing to pay her daughter’s emergency room bill after a dinner there caused her trip.

The family went into the sushi restaurant for dinner and informed the waitstaff that the daughter was allergic to shellfish. They ordered their food, ate, and left. The daughter ended up having a reaction so severe that she ended up in the ER and on prednisone for several days. They are now demanding that the restaurant be held responsible for the medical bill.

Who do you think is responsible?
