light pink discharge

I'm 8w4d first pregnancy. I've been experiencing cramping, and today when I used the restroom and wiped there was light pink discharge. I am worried. I have my first prenatal appointment next Friday, but I am unsure if I should wait that long. Any expierence with this or advice?
