Was anyone else put on Clomid only for first month?

Or did you take anything else too? I thought Clomid needs to be taken with either a trigger shot, progesterone or both. My doc put me on Clomid only for my first time trying it but I wanted to do a trigger and progesterone and he said no for absolutely no reason. when I asked him why he said because he said so....

i started off with just clomid. and if this cycle fail, she want to up the dose and add trigger shot. they probably taking one step at a time so we dont overload our body with unnecessary medicine.

I didn’t get anything else done other than just take clomid. Got pregnant off my second round

My fertility Dr has me for first month on 100mg clomid, a trigger shot & progesterone as well. I’m not at the point in cycle yet for trigger shot & progesterone, next week that’ll happen. I feel like obgyn’s just give clomid because that’s all they know to do

If you are just starting out on the meds, you dont need anything else. They have to slowly work you on the meds to see where you are having oroblems. The progesterone is to start a period if you have issues with that, the trigger is to help induce ovulation (this should be monitored by a fertility specialist, not your normal obgyn, this will be done closer to when you are needing IUI or IVF)
