GD 2nd time around- is it worse??
Hi all,
I just got diagnosed yesterday with GD at 16 weeks for the second time. I managed it with diet in my first pregnancy and had a healthy 6lb 7oz little girl.
I ate what I wanted yesterday and had a huge Chinese meal quite late last night as my ‘last supper’. My fasting sugar level this morning was 13.9! Freaking out a little that it was so high and feeling v guilty.
Could my meal last night have caused that reading? Or is my GD worse this time around?? My fasting numbers were usually just within the boundary or a tiny bit over in my last pregnancy, never ever as high as that!!
Has any experienced that their GD is harder to control the second time around?
