Baby measuring big?

I have GB and I went for my 36 week check up yesterday and he said the baby was weighing around 6.5 lbs. my biggest baby was 6.9 at 39 weeks. Is 6.5 lbs big for 36 weeks?

My little girl was 6 pounds 7 ounces at 35+4 and they said she was a little on the big side but not enough that they were concerned. The scans aren't very accurate, though, so I wouldn't worry too much.

They say at the end babies typically gain 1/2 lb a week.  So if your baby is on that trajectory, at 40 weeks, you could expect roughly an 8.5 lber if you are 6.5 at 36 weeks.
