Can’t take out earrings for induction?

This is a super weird question but the last time I was at the hospital the nurse told me i had to remove all jewelry before being admitted, well i ended up being sent home due to not dilating. 
I’m scheduled for an induction tonight and i have a cartilage piercing that i cannot get out of my ear!! I’ve had this piercing for around 6 years (yes, I know 🤦🏼‍♀️) and I’ve always cleaned the area and twisted the earring but i physically can’t get the back off so it’s still the same stud they pierced it with!! 
What can i do? Will the hospital cut it off? Or is it not that big of a deal?! I’ve been trying for 2 hours now to get it out and nothing is working!!!

If you aren’t having a c section there is no reason why you need to remove jewelry. If you needed one they can throw tape over it don’t worry about it - labor and delivery nurse

Hmmmm.....I've had 3 kids, 2 were inductions and 1 an emergency c section and I kept my upper studs in, they didn't say anything. I just took off my rings and loose jewelry, hoops etc.

it isnt that big of a deal. they might try take it out themselves

I didn’t take any of my jewelry out, and I have dermals that they will have to literally pull out. I’m sure if they require it to be out one of the nurses should be able to help. 
I believe the only reason they even ask people to remove it is in case they need to use the paddles and shock your heart it would cause burns.
