IUI or IVF? And why??" /> 
Well the results are in, and for whatever reason I have a very low egg reserve. Since time isn’t on our side, we need some science to make a baby happen. We’re waiting on test results to see what our chances are with each (I can’t remember the name, but it analyzes the sperm to see how well it would work in each scenario).
My question is, what was the deciding factor for you? Why did you choose one instead of the other?

Low reserve, just go ahead and do IVF, especially if you don't want to waste time. Plan on multiple rounds too as tweaking protocols is a lot more guesswork with DOR women. We are on round 2 and transfer is tomorrow!

My dr told me that the follitropin injections help make your eggs heartier and stronger, better quality. Even though they can’t really test for egg quality. But, IUI didn’t work for us, but we tried it. You honestly don’t want to push your body into IVF unless you’ve exhausted other resources. It’s physically and mentally draining. Lots of ups and downs.

I would try 2-3 IUIs with injections 
 if you have no make factor issues then move on to ivf.

I feel IUI would help more if it was a low mobile sperm issue, since they are jist washing the sperm and inserting it closer to the eggs. Since you have low egg reserve, think it would be better for them to make the embryo then implant with IVF so then you only have to worry about implantation.

I am 38 with low egg reserve so straight to IVF. I’m having my retrieval tomorrow and the fresh transfer hopefully next week at day 5 fingers crossed everything goes well.
