Doctor visit?

I've previously had 2 miscarriages neither made it past 3 weeks, and am now almost 6 weeks pregnant but my doctor made my FIRST appointment for when I'm 12 weeks. Is this normal? I feel like I should be seen before then.

It’s normal not to he seen until 12 weeks. They won’t consider you as high risk as a loss that early is considered a chemical pregnancy- where an egg had fertilised but the pregnancy hasn’t continued and your period has come.  Most people don’t even know they are pregnant at that stage.  It doesn’t make it easier for you, but to the doc they won’t see it classified as a miscarriage so you wouldn’t be high risk to them or need to be seen earlier.  Good luck & congratulations x

Unfortunately yes. They aren’t very compassionate in my experience until 12-16 weeks.

I saw my doctor when I was about five weeks just to talk about things and check a pregnancy test there. Then I went back at 9 weeks 4 days for a transvaginal ultrasound to make sure it was an intra uterine pregnancy.

All drs I've heard won't make an apt till you're at least 8-9 weeks along. So to wait that long is weird

I didn’t have my first appointment until around 15 weeks (I forgot) but it was awhile. Most Drs don’t see you until almost the second trimester it’s normal
