Had my baby girl today at 12:25PM . She weighs 6lbs 9oz and is 18 inches long. I was 38 weeks and 4 days. I had contractions all night along with multiple bowel movements but didn’t think much of it. Woke up at 6am to get big sis ready for school. Showered and dress and took ODD to school w/my mom and timed contractions on the way. They were 3 mins apart but not too bad. Got back home and tried to eat some breakfast but had to start and stop due to pressure in my behind. Eventually it got bad and I told my husband and mom it was time to go. They got ready and when I got up to leave my water broke hard and fast. Got towels to sit on in the car, had contractions all the way there and basically caught every stop light too lol. Got to the hospital, valeted car, got wheelchair to l&d triage and once checked I was already 6-7cm dilated. The contractions pain was the worst and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy but once I got the epidural I only felt pressure in my bottom. I labor for about a couple hours and it was time to push. Pushing with an epidural was a weird feeling since I was numb but I still felt pressure but it wasn’t painful. Midwife from my OB office delivered baby and used mineral oil to help slide baby out which took only 3-4 pushes and helped me not to tear as well and I reached down and grabbed my babygirl. By 2pm I was up and moving about. So happy to have her here now! Good luck to all the other mamas still preggers! You got this!
