Is it safe?

Is it safe to have two mattresses in crib for two month old... i feel like her regular mattress is to low in the crib and that’s the highest level it’s on... it’s very difficult to bend down and pick her up especially at night when half sleep.. I was thinking of adding one more mattress to one that’s in there. Did not put any crib bumpers since SID institute announced more deaths in babies... I guess forget the bumper, but hope doubling the mattress is easier... have any of moms done that? TIA
