Did I miscarry?

I took a test today which came out positive! My husband and I are so excited however I just got back from my friends house because I went to the bathroom where a small dot with a little dot blood and what looked liked stringy tissue hung off of it. Did I just miscarry? I’m completely freaked out but I know I need to wait a few days to test again.

I would check with your doctor. It could be completely normal to have a little bleeding

Any spotting even if it’s just a speck should be brought to a dr attention or you should go to the er. An ultrasound and a vagina check of your cervix will be done to ensure the baby is still where it’s suppose to be and that your cervix is closed. It is possible that the bleeding could be normal but every pregnancy is different and you will not know for sure until you get checked out. As for the tissue I’m not sure what it could be bc it depends on your gestation, the mucus plug doesn’t for until the 7th week which is when the fetus becomes visible via vagina ultrasound. That may just be part of the mucus plug building. Early pregnancy spotting is normal, I wouldn’t be concerned unless you’re cramping. But it’s also possible your positive was a chemical.

Try to stay calm!! Watch for any more blood or intense cramping. This definitely doesn’t mean you’re miscarrying! I wish you the best!!

Thank you all for responding! 
I have not had any additional bleeding but I am making a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. I decided to take another test and it was positive but I know that could be left over hormone even if it was a miscarriage.
