Breast Feeding Story
I’m a proud momma today. I have had some challenges and disappointment regarding breastfeeding. Everything I have seen or read prior than my experience glorified breastfeeding, making it seem both simple and magical. I have a strong let-down that has left my son coughing/choking and both of us crying during multiple feedings, not to mention covered in milk. I have been reluctant to feed in public which can feel isolating. Today, at 9 weeks I fed my son in the middle of a park surrounded by people, on the ground, while it was sprinkling. It wasn’t perfect, we struggled at first to find a comfortable position, but we persevered and he finished with a full belly and completely content. I couldn’t be more happy. I also want to say I love my amazing wife for giving me strength, encouragement and a shoulder to cry on when I need it. Good luck mommas, feeding ain’t easy! 😊
