Reaction to tdap shot?

Any one else have a bad reaction to the tdap shot?  My doctor encouraged me to get it to protect baby from whipping cough.
I’ve been having horrible side effects.  When I looked it up it says it’s normal to experience diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, headache, aches and tiredness.

I had it and only experienced a sore arm. I’m sorry you had more of a reaction. On the up side though, it just means that your immune system responded as it was supposed to! You now have protection not only for you but for your baby too!

I had a sore arm and then 48 hours later I had a fever and complete loss of appetite for a day and a half. Lost 4lbs from feeling so ill. I'm not 100% sure if it was the shot, but given I had no other flu or cold symptoms I think it's safe to say.

For me I just got really red and puffy around the injection site. It was also pretty sore to the touch for a week and a half or so. Nothing too crazy. The benefits definitely outweighed the side effects for me.

Yeah I skipped it this pregnancy because I had such a rough time with it during my first pregnancy. My arm swole up so bad and felt like it had a fever in it with an absolutely enormous knot. It didn’t get better for almost a month.

My doc said the more recently my last tetanus shot was the more likely I was to have a strong reaction. (Four years, and some pain and bruising, nothing else I noticed).
