Do you guys agree with Arizona teachers walking out?

(Please comment why, I want to hear other people’s opinions)
On Thursday, Arizona teachers are walking out in hopes of getting better pay. Because of this, my school has actually cancelled school on this day. I personally support it, but because teachers have done so much for me, and so many have been role models to me. They’ve been underpaid for so long and I 100% think what they are doing is what needs to be done.

I changed my mind about becoming a teacher once I realized how poor they’re treated, how little support they get from the administration, and how little they get paid while putting their own money back into the classroom. 
Yes, I support than fully. They should keep walking out until their pay is raised and something changes for them.

As a teacher, I support all of my fellow teachers who decide to walkout. It’s not okay for what teachers are paid, and what working conditions many have. Bad working conditions for teachers equals bad working conditions for students. 
I recently saw a post from a local news station that show a picture of a girl in elementary school that had the same book as Blake Shelton. People were criticizing saying how it’s still in good condition and does it really matter? But it does. Textbooks are updated yearly. Do they need them yearly? No. Do they need them every 5? Yes, absolutely.

My mom was a teacher for 20 years. She left because of the shit pay, the lack of support from administration, and the absolute garbage parents that came in saying their kid deserved to be in advanced classes when they could barely read or write. She left, got her masters in digital education, and now makes 100k a year at NYU as an instructional designer. 
If the government wants qualified teachers with degrees they need to pay them the salary of someone with a degree.

I support teachers walking out. I support students walking out. I also find it hypocritical when some teachers find students walking out ineffective but then some are doing the same thing.

As a teacher, I agree that they have the right to do it. But I also think they have to accept whatever possible negative consequences might come out of it. I’m all for protesting... but these walkouts and walks in general have become so overused that it doesn’t catch anyone’s attention anymore.

I support. Teachers are at a national all time low. Teachers babysit and teach, and guide, and much more for 8+ hours a day. Pay them well or we won't have anyone to direct our children.

Children are the greatest resource a country has. They are literally the future of our entire world. If they grew up not receiving a quality education because teachers aren’t paid enough, we’re all doomed. Teachers need to make way more money.

Our schools in WV were out for two weeks due to these reasons. I have two elementary school kids and supported our teachers 100%.
