Daycare??

Question

First time mom here! I’m just now discovering how expensive day care is. I don’t have the option of not working once my maternity leave (3 months) is over. I don’t have family that can babysit. I’m in Orlando, Fl and I’m finding daycare costs upwards of $1000/ month! I cannot afford this. Is anyone n a similar situation or does anyone have any suggestions?

Be happy you’re not paying $1400+ here in lovely CA... haha. Home daycares are usually the cheapest

Do you have a VoTech near you? Yes, the high school- they tend to have daycares that are cheaper due to the students being the primary source of employment. They're still regulated in my state, but check your states rules. Just watch the schedule- the daycare is affected by 2 hour delays, holidays, etc.

I’m going through a friend and paying $700/month. Most daycares are $1,000 + in our area too..
