Facebook shaming

So I was at the park yesterday with one of my girl friends and she had her dog with her. Well her dog took a poo on the grass right by the fence (we live on post). She realized she didn't have a bag and went inside her house to get one, and came back outside to pick it up. Well some one took a video from their window of her with the dog pooping, then leaving and posted it on FB. The comments were horrendous. She was getting dragged, ppl were calling her a nasty B and calling her all sorts of things. Mind you, the dog poo was not even in an area where anyone would step on, it was on the edge of the fence with a lot of grass in front. What do you all think about this? Do you think ppl were right to shame her bc they thought she left it there?
