croup?? plus 100.4 fever??

she has that barking cough sound and a fever of 100.4. her breathing sounds labored and she coughs once in a while in her sleep poor thing. just gave her tylenol. shes 8 months. i should go to hospital in the am? right?? i feel so bad for my poor baby girl!! i had a cold first 😭😢

they said croup and gave her steroids and sent us home since she was breathing pretty well.

Yes, if she’s having labored breathing take her in ASAP. That happened with my oldest son I brought him to the ER he did end up having croup and needed a breathing treatment

Labored is the key word there. If you feel she is truly struggling to breathe then she needs to go right away no matter the time so they could check her oxygen levels.
The cough itself could wait for your normal pediatrician in the morning if you could get a same-day sick child appointment, as could such a low fever.
