lazy jobless boyfriend

hi guysss so I want to be my boyfriends biggest supporter but lately he’s driving me up a wall. He’s been unemployed since the summer and has been doing odd jobs here and there. He helped my family out with our business for a month or two but now it’s time for him to do his own thing. A few weeks ago I said it’s time for you to start looking and he applied at a few places and didn’t get any of the jobs. He lives away from his family and they came and visited last week. Prior to them visiting I was bugging him saying hey I’ll help you find a job, and his response was I need to wait to look until after my family comes so I can spend time with them.. so I patiently wait and keep my thoughts to myself. Fast forward, family is gone and I’m bugging him again. I have a competition back where his family lives towards the end of May and he’s coming with to visit home. Now he’s telling me he has to wait until after we go visit to find a job... am I being ridiculous? I get it’s hard to take time off of a job, but come on. Maybe he shouldn’t go visit his family and he should put his future first. Thoughts? It just seems like it’s excuse after excuse
