Anyone gone to premarital counseling? How was your experience?

I did! I hated the idea of it at first but went because it was cheaper for our marriage license. 
Anyway! It was a great experience. I can tell you it will make or break your relationship. You talk about your pasts. Your triggers. You learn to properly communicate. You learn to use tools. 
I believe it made us stronger. Good luck!

We got married in the Catholic Church so it was a requirement. It was actually a lot of fun we did compatibility tests and besides the religious agenda (they told us that if one person cheats it’s wrong of us to leave 🙄) and this boring asf movie called fireproof where the husband watches porn all the time lol it was really kind of fun

My husband and I did, and im so glad we did!  It wasn't very in depth because we had a short engagement but it was still helpful. If you don't do premarital counseling then just make sure you have delibrate conversations about children, careers, responsibilitys, and things  like that. Its so important to know these things so you aren't surprised later on.
