Do we *have* to announce on facebook?

just not our style really....im not sure how else to get the word out - if I even have to get the word out. I dont want a gender reveal party either. I just feel like putting all my business on Facebook is invasive and people wont actually be that happy, they will be jealous or think or say unkind things because im " too old" as a co worker just told me (im 34, so is hubby). first baby for both of us. just got married 6 months ago, im almost 10 weeks :)
