Help any VBaC tips?

Question

What are the things that helped you to get your successful VBaC? I had c section 3 and half years ago. I never experienced labor or any contractions. I was 41 weeks and 5 days and they did the NoN Stress Test n baby heart rate started to drop after two more hours of monitoring me in the hospital. So I had to have emergency c section.

Answer

1) a doula
2) a supportive doctor
3) reading and research, not about VBAC, but natural birth! Ina mays guide to natural childbirth is an excellent read.
4) positive birth affirmations posted all through out my house... just to know my body was built for childbirth and to have that constant reminder that I could do it. 
When it came time to give birth, I wasn’t even thinking about the previous cesareans... I just thiught about my baby in my arms as the end result.... and how badly I wanted that sweet baby!

To add to the other list:
1) if you are getting pain relief such as an epidural, wait as long as possible, at least until 6 cm.
2) use a birthing ball to lean over onto the bed to get rest
3) remain as calm as possible and ask for no distractions such as students who ask you questions during contractions lol
