Miscarriage scare :( advice please!

Last night I went to a and e with a sharp pain in my right lower tummy and some brown discharge. I’m 6w 3d, they done a scan and I’m measuring at 6w1d. Baby was in the right place but they couldn’t see no heart beat and said to prepare for possible miscarriage 😓 or that it may be too early. I have another apt 8th May and they’ll know for sure then. How likely is it that it’s just too early?? The pain and discharge are gone today and I feel fine! I’m on bedrest until my apt because my blood pressure was high. Any positive words or advice welcome :(
