Crochet?

Question

Idk where to post this. Sorry if this is the wrong group .. however I really wanna teach myself how to crochet. The only problem is idk where to start lol. 
I wanna go to the craft store and pick up some thing to make a small blanket or baby booties. 
Anyone crochet and have any advice lol?

Crochet is super easy to learn! I recommend picking up the book A to Z of Crochet. It has really nice step by step photos of every stitch you could ever want to learn. Also, there are groups on here for crafting and knitting/crocheting. Just pick up some yarn and a set of hooks and go for it! Start just with a dish rag or potholder so you can get the feel for it and you won't be disappointed if it's crooked or something. But it's quick to learn!

they have a lot of tutorials online. a blanket would be easier than booties depending on the kind of stitch they use. you can also see if there are any classes available to learn it. There's this small mom and pop shop in my town that offers classes on crocheting, knitting, cake design and all sorts of things. There's usually beginner books as well. with some yarn they'll even have pretty basic patterns for baby blankets inside the paper the brand is on on them.
