Beach with almost 2 year old

Hey all! Wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks for our beach trip in June. My son will be 2 in July and this will be his first beach trip. I am also wondering if I should take my jogging stroller, or purchase a cheap umbrella stroller... my worry is having to leave the jogging stroller outside of restaurants and shops?? I’m not sure what to do!

We already bought a canopy tent with sun shield for him, and our hotel is right on the beach. Any other helpful tips welcome :) thanks in advance!!
