preterm labor

I've been up all night tossing and turning unable to rest my mind or body. since about 12 last night til 10 am this morning I am having contractions. some come with a little discomfort and others with no pain at all but last more than a minute. also some come with a lot of pressure in my pelvis and cervix area and feel very uncomfortable. I also noticed a few wet drops, not enough to fill a pad in my panties. and my stomach had ran off one time so far. I know tmi but is this what preterm labor is or what? I'm 36 weeks I read it's not normal to have more than 4 contraction's in hour time whether their painful or painless so I'm thinking maybe I need to be seen on the safe side right? or am I ok until my appt wednesday??
