Sharp nerve pain

Hello, I am a FTM and am EBF my 12 day old. We had a tough patch around day 3-7 when things were really sore, but after that things got easier. A few days ago though I started to get a really sharp shorting nerve pain when ever she nurses on my left boob, it literally brings tears to my eyes. Midwife said to try and feel for and blockages and massage them out, I have tried but not found any. Anyone else experienced the same or have any tips? Thanks x
