Still can’t find baby’s heartbeat with the Doppler?

Question

I went to the doc today and he couldn’t find her heartbeat until we went into the ultrasound room. He said she was relaxing on the placenta and her heart rate was 148. I’m 14.4 weeks. Any of you ladies have this issue? Having a miscarriage before, it scared the crap out of me.

The exact same thing at 16.5 weeks. I have an ornery booger on my hands 🙄 the midwife tried for like 5 minutes to get the heartbeat, but as soon as we got on the ultrasound there it was, just beating away!

I had a scare this morning! I am 14w4day and baby is usually on my right side so I put my gel and my Doppler and I could only hear my heartbeat! I couldn’t hear baby I panicked so fast I was freaking out then something to me to try my left side and sure enough baby was on my left side for the past 5 weeks baby has been on my right & today the left ! Scared me so bad

Mine couldn’t find our babies, but I have an anterior placenta and her little “mini” ultrasound machine just wasn’t strong enough to pick it up. We could still see the heart beating away.

My doc found my baby’s heartbeat right away at 10+1 and then it took a lot longer at 14+2. I think the baby’s position and way they are facing still makes a huge difference at this point because they are so teeny tiny. I wouldn’t worry mama, sounds like your babe was just comfy cozy. Glad they found a strong heart beat.
